The ‘Footpower’ Footbrush was Invented, Designed, and Prototyped and is made in New Zealand. It is patented as an original invention, and Design Registered both in N.Z. & Internationally. The ‘Footpower’ Footbrush is made in N.Z. and a very high quality product is assured. By manufacturing the product in N.Z. we have invested in N.Z. expertise to design and manufacture the tools (moulds) and subsequent quality control during manufacture of the product.

If the shower tray has raised, factory made domes, the suction base will adhere. If a non slip surface has been applied (i.e. a sandpaper type non-slip or a vinyl with non slip raised bumps) then the suction cups will not readily adhere. There are alternative-mounting arrangements available such as attaching the unit on the lower shower wall either horizontally or vertically. However, if this option is unsuitable, then the following will ensure the suction base will adhere to any non-slip surface. An additional product – ‘Blue Tac’ – needs to be purchased from a stationery store or supermarket. Roll up 6 balls of Blue Tac and place them in the Suction Cups. Place the unit on the shower floor as per instructions – length ways along the wall, and approx. 3ins (8cm) away from the wall. Push down, and the Suction Base will adhere and is ready for use. Blue Tac is not included in the package as only 1 shower in maybe 200 has this type of non-slip surface.

The Footbrush is not designed as a scrubbing brush. It is designed to clean, massage and exfoliate. Research has shown that a bristle that is too firm does not allow the toes and feet to glide deeply through the bristle bed because of the stiffer resistance caused by the bristle being too rigid. Research on the bristle’s suitability took 12 months of development as each type of bristle took many months to test. Both the firm and soft bristle allow the foot to glide deeply through the bristle bed, allowing the contour of the bristle to work on the arches and toes, giving optimum massage and cleaning results.

One minute is recommended, but this varies with each individual and time available. When using the bristle bed in the hand piece while relaxing, there is no limit

Two grades of bristle are available – Firm and Soft. Firm is recommended for most users.

It is simple to remove the bristle bed from the suction cup base to soak in a warm bucket of light janola or disinfectant water when cleaning the shower. The suction cup base will need to be removed and washed every so often, for continued hygiene of the shower.
